Celebrating the art of words
Save the Date: November 7 & 8, 2025
The Fraser Valley Writers Festival is an annual two-day literary festival featuring keynote addresses, readings, panel discussions, writing workshops, live podcast recordings, and more, hosted at the Abbotsford campus of the University of the Fraser Valley.
Unique to the FVWF, all participating authors are commissioned to write a new work and debut it at the festival. These pieces are then archived in our Festival Magazine, which is our way of bringing the festival to you, wherever you are in the world.

Land Acknowledgement
Since long before Canada was formed, the Stó:lō (people of the river) have occupied the land where our festival calls home. The Fraser Valley Writers Festival recognizes and honours the contribution that the Stó:lō and other Indigenous peoples have made — and continue to make — to our community.
